And if I shall go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself: that where I am, you also may be.
And when he had said these things, while they looked on, he was raised up: and a cloud received him out of their sight.
And while they were beholding him going up to heaven, behold two men stood by them in white garments.
Who also said: Ye men of Galilee, why stand you looking up to heaven? This Jesus who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come as you have seen him going into heaven.
Be penitent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.
That when the times of refreshment shall come from the presence of the Lord, and he shall send him who hath been preached unto you, Jesus Christ.
Whom heaven indeed must receive, until the times of the restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets, from the beginning of the world.
Knowing that Christ, rising again from the dead, dieth now no more. Death shall no more have dominion over him.
For in that he died to sin, he died once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
Because the creature also itself shall be delivered from the servitude of corruption, into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.
The night is passed And the day is at hand. Let us, therefore cast off the works of darkness and put on the armour of light.
So that nothing is wanting to you in any grace, waiting for the manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Who also will confirm you unto the end without crime, in the days of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, judge not before the time: until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts. And then shall every man have praise from God.
For he must reign, until he hath put all his enemies under his feet.
And the enemy, death, shall be destroyed last: For he hath put all things under his feet. And whereas he saith:
Being confident of this very thing: that he who hath begun a good work in you will perfect it unto the day of Christ Jesus.
But our conversation is in heaven: from whence also we look for the Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ,
Who will reform the body of our lowness, made like to the body of his glory, according to the operation whereby also he is able to subdue all things unto himself.
Let your modesty be known to all men. The Lord is nigh.
When Christ shall appear, who is your life, then you also shall appear with him in glory.
And to wait for his Son from heaven (whom he raised up from the dead), Jesus, who hath delivered us from the wrath to come.
To confirm your hearts without blame, in holiness, before God and our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, with all his saints. Amen.
Then we who are alive, who are left, shall be taken up together with them in the clouds to meet Christ, into the air: and so shall we be always with the Lord.
Wherefore, comfort ye one another with these words.
