  1. Therefore be ye also ready; for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh.

  2. Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath set over his household, to give them their food in due season?

  3. Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

  4. Verily I say unto you, that he will set him over all that he hath.

  10. But when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit on the throne of his glory:

  11. Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Henceforth ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.

  12. For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man also shall be ashamed of him, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

  13. But of that day or that hour knoweth no one, not even the angels in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

  14. Watch therefore: for ye know not when the lord of the house cometh, whether at even, or at midnight, or at cockcrowing, or in the morning;

  15. lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

  16. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

  17. and be ye yourselves like unto men looking for their lord, when he shall return from the marriage feast; that, when he cometh and knocketh, they may straightway open unto him.

  18. Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them sit down to meat, and shall come and serve them.

  19. And if he shall come in the second watch, and if in the third, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

  20. But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched, and not have left his house to be broken through.

  22. He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

  23. And it came to pass, when he was come back again, having received the kingdom, that he commanded these servants, unto whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by trading.

  24. But watch ye at every season, making supplication, that ye may prevail to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

  25. For neither doth the Father judge any man, but he hath given all judgment unto the Son;
