  1. For they sow the wind, and they will reap the whirlwind. He has no standing grain. The stalk will yield no head. If it does yield, strangers will swallow it up.

  9. But when he came to himself he said, ‘How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough to spare, and I’m dying with hunger!

  10. I will get up and go to my father, and will tell him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight.

  11. I am no more worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired servants.”’

  12. “He arose, and came to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

  13. The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

  14. He said, “Who are you, Lord?” The Lord said, “I am Yeshua, whom you are persecuting.

  15. Therefore as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin; and so death passed to all men, because all sinned.

  16. For until the law, sin was in the world; but sin is not charged when there is no law.

  17. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those whose sins weren’t like Adam’s disobedience, who is a foreshadowing of him who was to come.

  18. But the free gift isn’t like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Yeshua the Messiah, abound to the many.

  19. The gift is not as through one who sinned: for the judgment came by one to condemnation, but the free gift came of many trespasses to justification.

  20. For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Yeshua the Messiah.

  21. So then as through one trespass, all men were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all men were justified to life.

  22. For as through the one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous.

  23. The law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly;

  24. that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Yeshua the Messiah our Lord.

  25. For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law, worked in our members to bring out fruit to death.
