and that he may send Messiah Yeshua, who was ordained for you before,

whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke long ago by the mouth of his holy prophets.

For Moses indeed said to the fathers, ‘The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.

“For truly, in this city against your holy servant, Yeshua, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together

even Yeshua of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

They of the circumcision who believed were amazed, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was also poured out on the Gentiles.

“Can anyone forbid these people from being immersed with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just like us.”

From this man’s seed, God has brought salvation to Israel according to his promise,

concerning his Son, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh,

Who is he who condemns? It is Messiah who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

Why? Because they didn’t seek it by faith, but as it were by works of the law. They stumbled over the stumbling stone;

For even Messiah didn’t please himself. But, as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me.”

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He doesn’t say, “To seeds”, as of many, but as of one, “To your seed”, which is Messiah.

But when the fullness of the time came, God sent out his Son, born to a woman, born under the law,

Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name;

and that every tongue should confess that Yeshua the Messiah is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.

So also Messiah didn’t glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him, “You are my Son. Today I have become your father.”

As he says also in another place, “You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.”

By faith, Abraham, being tested, offered up Isaac. Yes, he who had gladly received the promises was offering up his one and only son;

even he to whom it was said, “In Isaac will your seed be called”;

concluding that God is able to raise up even from the dead. Figuratively speaking, he also did receive him back from the dead.

Because it is contained in Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, chosen, and precious: He who believes in him will not be disappointed.”

For you who believe therefore is the honor, but for those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected, has become the chief cornerstone,”
