  1. That when the times of refreshment shall come from the presence of the Lord, and he shall send him who hath been preached unto you, Jesus Christ.

  13. To Abraham were the promises made and to his seed. He saith not: And to his seeds as of many. But as of one: And to thy seed, which is Christ.

  14. But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent his Son, made of a woman, made under the law:

  15. For which cause, God also hath exalted him and hath given him a name which is above all names:

  16. And that every tongue should confess that the Lord Jesus Christ is in the glory of God the Father.

  17. Who being the brightness of his glory and the figure of his substance and upholding all things by the word of his power, making purgation of sins, sitteth on the right hand of the majesty on high:

  18. For we have not a high priest who cannot have compassion on our infirmities: but one tempted in all things like as we are, without sin.

  19. So Christ also did not glorify himself, that he might be made a high priest: but he that said unto him: Thou art my Son: this day have I begotten thee.

  20. As he saith also in another place: Thou art a priest for ever, according to the order of Melchisedech.

  21. By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

  22. (To whom it was said: In Isaac shalt thy seed be called:)

  23. Accounting that God is able to raise up even from the dead. Whereupon also he received him for a parable.

  24. Wherefore it is said in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious. And he that shall believe in him shall not be confounded.

  25. To you therefore that believe, he is honour: but to them that believe not, the stone which the builders rejected, the same is made the head of the corner:
