  1. And he shall sende Iesus Christ, which before was preached vnto you,

  2. Whome the heauen must containe vntill the time that all thinges be restored, which God had spoken by the mouth of all his holy Prophets since the world began.

  10. Who shall condemne? it is Christ which is dead, yea, or rather, which is risen againe, who is also at the right hand of God, and maketh request also for vs.

  11. Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the workes of the Lawe: for they haue stumbled at the stumbling stone,

  12. For Christ also would not please himselfe, but as it is written, The rebukes of them which rebuke thee, fell on me.

  13. Nowe to Abraham and his seede were the promises made. Hee saith not, And to the seedes, as speaking of many: but, And to thy seede, as of one, which is Christ.

  14. But when the fulnesse of time was come, God sent forth his Sonne made of a woman, and made vnder the Lawe,

  15. Wherefore God hath also highly exalted him, and giuen him a Name aboue euery name,

  16. And that euery tongue shoulde confesse that Iesus Christ is the Lord, vnto the glory of God the Father.

  17. Who being the brightnes of the glory, and the ingraued forme of his person, and bearing vp all things by his mightie worde, hath by himselfe purged our sinnes, and sitteth at the right hand of the Maiestie in the highest places,

  18. For we haue not an hie Priest, which can not be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all things tempted in like sort, yet without sinne.

  19. So likewise Christ tooke not to him selfe this honour, to be made the hie Priest, but hee that sayd vnto him, Thou art my Sonne, this day begate I thee, gaue it him.

  20. As he also in another place speaketh, Thou art a Priest for euer, after ye order of Melchi-sedec.

  21. By faith Abraham offered vp Isaac, when he was tryed, and he that had receiued the promises, offered his onely begotten sonne.

  22. (To whom it was said, In Isaac shall thy seede be called.)

  23. For he considered that God was able to raise him vp euen from the dead: from whence he receiued him also after a sort.

  24. Wherefore also it is conteyned in the Scripture, Beholde, I put in Sion a chiefe corner stone, elect and precious: and hee that beleeueth therein, shall not be ashamed.

  25. Vnto you therefore which beleeue, it is precious: but vnto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
