  1. And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

  14. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

  15. And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

  16. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

  17. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

  18. The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.

  19. ¶ Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

  20. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

  21. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
