  1. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

  2. Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

  3. And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

  6. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

  7. When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

  8. And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

  9. ¶ And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

  10. Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

  11. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

  12. And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.

  13. And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

  14. And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

  15. And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

  16. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

  17. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

  18. But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,

  19. Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

  20. And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

  21. Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?

  22. But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)

  23. I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.

  24. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

  25. And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.
