  1. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

  2. Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

  3. Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

  4. And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

  5. And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

  6. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

  7. Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

  8. (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

  9. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

  10. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

  11. For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

  12. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

  13. And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

  14. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

  15. For many are called, but few are chosen.

  16. That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

  17. And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,

  18. And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

  19. Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

  20. He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

  21. He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

  22. The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

  23. And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?

  24. And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

  25. For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
