  1. ¶ And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy servant.

  2. And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.

  3. Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.

  10. And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;

  11. And God went up from him in the place where he talked with him.

  12. And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.

  13. And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Bethel.

  14. And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him.

  15. And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.

  16. And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

  17. And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

  18. And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.

  19. There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

  20. But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

  21. The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.

  22. And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.

  23. And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

  24. And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do.

  25. This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh.
