  1. Also King Salomon made a nauie of ships in Ezeon-geber, which is beside Eloth, and the brinke of the red Sea, in the land of Edom.

  2. Thou hast also considered the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heard their cry by the red Sea,

  7. Yea, he caried them out safely, and they feared not, and the Sea couered their enemies.

  8. Our fathers vnderstoode not thy wonders in Egypt, neither remembred they the multitude of thy mercies, but rebelled at the Sea, euen at the red sea.

  9. Neuerthelesse he saued them for his Names sake, that he might make his power to be knowen.

  10. And he rebuked the red Sea, and it was dryed vp, and he led them in the deepe, as in the wildernesse.

  11. And he saued them from ye aduersaries hand, and deliuered them from ye hand of the enemie.

  12. And the waters couered their oppressours: not one of them was left.

  13. Wonderous woorkes in the lande of Ham, and fearefull things by the red Sea.

  14. Which deuided the red Sea in two partes: for his mercie endureth for euer:

  15. And made Israel to passe through the mids of it: for his mercie endureth for euer:

  16. And ouerthrewe Pharaoh and his hoste in the red Sea: for his mercie endureth for euer:

  17. Thus sayeth the Lord which maketh a way in the Sea, and a path in the mighty waters.

  18. When hee bringeth out the charet and horse, the armie and the power lie together, and shall not rise: they are extinct, and quenched as towe.

  19. Hee brought them out, doing wonders, and miracles in the land of Egypt, and in the red sea, and in the wildernes fourtie yeeres.

  20. Moreouer, brethren, I woulde not that yee shoulde bee ignorant, that all our fathers were vnder that cloude, and all passed through that sea,

  21. And were all baptized vnto Moses, in that cloude, and in that sea,

  22. By faith they passed through the red sea as by drie land, which when the Egyptians had assayed to doe, they were swallowed vp.
