  1. And brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why doe I yet suffer persecution? Then is the slaunder of the crosse abolished.

  14. Looking vnto Iesus the authour and finisher of our faith, who for the ioy that was set before him, endured the crosse, and despised the shame, and is set at the right hand of the throne of God.

  15. Consider therefore him that endured such speaking against of sinners, lest ye should be wearied and faint in your mindes.

  16. Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for vs in the flesh, arme your selues likewise with the same minde, which is, that he which hath suffered in the flesh, hath ceased from sinne,

  17. But reioyce, in asmuch as ye are partakers of Christs suffrings, that when his glory shall appeare, ye may be glad and reioyce.

  18. But if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not bee ashamed: but let him glorifie God in this behalfe.

  19. Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God, commit their soules to him in well doing, as vnto a faithfull Creator.

  20. And they that dwell vpon the earth, shall reioyce ouer them and be glad, and shall sende giftes one to an other: for these two Prophets vexed them that dwelt on the earth.
