Then the King of Asshur commanded, saying, Carie thither one of the Priestes whome ye brought thence, and let him goe and dwell there, and teache them the maner of the God of the countrey.
So one of the Priestes, which they had caryed from Samaria, came and dwelt in Beth-el, and taught them how they shoulde feare the Lord.
Sing vnto the Lord all the earth: declare his saluation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the nations, and his wonderful workes among all people.
Therefore I will prayse thee, O Lord, among the nations, and wil sing vnto thy Name.
Sing vnto the Lord a newe song: sing vnto the Lord, all the earth.
Sing vnto the Lord, and prayse his Name: declare his saluation from day to day.
Declare his glory among all nations, and his wonders among all people.
For the Lord is great and much to be praysed: he is to be feared aboue all gods.
For all the gods of the people are idoles: but the Lord made the heauens.
Strength and glory are before him: power and beautie are in his Sanctuarie.
Giue vnto the Lord, ye families of the people: giue vnto the Lord glory and power.
Giue vnto the Lord the glory of his Name: bring an offering, and enter into his courtes.
Worship the Lord in the glorious Sanctuarie: tremble before him all the earth.
Say among the nations, The Lord reigneth: surely the world shalbe stable, and not moue, and he shall iudge the people in righteousnesse.
Let the heauens reioyce, and let the earth be glad: let the sea roare, and all that therein is.
Let the field be ioyfull, and all that is in it: let all the trees of the wood then reioyce
Before the Lord: for he commeth, for he cometh to iudge the earth: he wil iudge the world with righteousnes, and the people in his trueth.
I will say to the North, Giue: and to the South, Keepe not backe: bring my sonnes from farre, and my daughters from the ends of the earth.
Euery one shall be called by my Name: for I created him for my glorie, formed him and made him.
And the worde of the Lord came vnto Ionah the seconde time, saying,
Arise, goe vnto Nineueh that great citie, and preach vnto it the preaching, which I bid thee.
So Ionah arose and went to Nineueh according to ye word of the Lord: now Nineueh was a great and excellent citie of three dayes iourney.
And Ionah began to enter into the citie a dayes iourney, and he cryed, and said, Yet fourtie dayes, and Nineueh shalbe ouerthrowen.
So the people of Nineueh beleeued God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth from ye greatest of the euen to the least of them.
