  1. Behold, I shewe you a secret thing, We shall not all sleepe, but we shall all be changed,

  2. In a moment, in the twinckling of an eye at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall blow, and the dead shalbe raysed vp incorruptible, and we shalbe changed.

  3. For this corruptible must put on incorruption: and this mortall must put on immortalitie.

  10. As I feruently looke for, and hope, that in nothing I shalbe ashamed, but that with all confidence, as alwayes, so nowe Christ shalbe magnified in my body, whether it be by life or by death.

  11. For Christ is to me both in life, and in death aduantage.

  12. For I am distressed betweene both, desiring to be loosed and to be with Christ, which is best of all.

  13. Neuerthelesse, to abide in the flesh, is more needefull for you.

  14. I would not, brethren, haue you ignorant concerning them which are a sleepe, that ye sorow not euen as other which haue no hope.

  15. For if we beleeue that Iesus is dead, and is risen, euen so them which sleepe in Iesus, will God bring with him.

  16. For God hath not appointed vs vnto wrath, but to obtaine saluation by the meanes of our Lord Iesus Christ,

  17. Which died for vs, that whether we wake or sleepe, we should liue together with him.

  18. For I am nowe readie to be offered, and the time of my departing is at hand.

  19. I haue fought a good fight, and haue finished my course: I haue kept the faith.

  20. For hence foorth is laide vp for me the crowne of righteousnesse, which the Lord the righteous iudge shall giue me at that day: and not to me onely, but vnto all them also that loue that his appearing.

  21. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himselfe likewise tooke part with them, that hee might destroye through death, him that had the power of death, that is the deuil,

  22. And that he might deliuer all them, which for feare of death were all their life time subiect to bondage.

  23. Againe hee that is rich, in that hee is made lowe: for as the flower of the grasse, shall he vanish away.

  24. For as when the sunne riseth with heate, then the grasse withereth, and his flower falleth away, and the goodly shape of it perisheth: euen so shall the rich man wither away in all his waies.

  25. And I saw the dead, both great and small stand before God: and the bookes were opened, and another booke was opened, which is the booke of life, and the dead were iudged of those thinges, which were written in the bookes, according to their woorkes.
