  1. The eternall God is thy refuge, and vnder his armes thou art for euer: hee shall cast out the enemie before thee, and will say, Destroy them.

  2. For I am sure, that my Redeemer liueth, and he shall stand the last on the earth.

  14. And as for me, thou vpholdest me in mine integritie, and doest set me before thy face for euer.

  15. Why art thou cast downe, my soule, and vnquiet within me? waite on God: for I will yet giue him thankes for the helpe of his presence.

  17. Rebuke hath broken mine heart, and I am full of heauinesse, and I looked for some to haue pitie on me, but there was none: and for comforters, but I found none.

  19. Yea, euen vnto mine olde age and graie head, O God: forsake me not, vntill I haue declared thine arme vnto this generation, and thy power to all them, that shall come.

  20. Thou wilt increase mine honour, and returne and comfort me.

  21. In the multitude of my thoughts in mine heart, thy comfortes haue reioyced my soule.

  22. It is my comfort in my trouble: for thy promise hath quickened me.

  23. I pray thee that thy mercie may comfort me according to thy promise vnto thy seruant.

  24. Mine eyes faile for thy promise, saying, when wilt thou comfort me?

  25. So I turned and considered all the oppressions that are wrought vnder the sunne, and beholde the teares of the oppressed, and none comforteth them: and lo, the strength is of the hand of them that oppresse them, and none comforteth them.
