  1. And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.

  13. Labour as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

  14. No man, being a soldier to God, entangleth himself with secular businesses: that he may please him to whom he hath engaged himself.

  15. For he also that striveth for the mastery is not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

  16. I have fought a good fight: I have finished my course: I have kept the faith.

  17. As to the rest, there is laid up for me a crown of justice which the Lord the just judge will render to me in that day: and not only to me, but to them also that love his coming. Make haste to come to me quickly.

  18. The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.

  19. And therefore we also having so great a cloud of witnesses over our head, laying aside every weight and sin which surrounds us, let us run by patience to the fight proposed to us:

  20. Looking on Jesus, the author and finisher of faith, who, having joy set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and now sitteth on the right hand of the throne of God.

  21. He that shall overcome shall thus be clothed in white garments: and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life. And I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.
