Bible Verses About The Roman Empire: Foot races
Verses on Foot races
Know you not that they that run in the race, all run indeed, but one receiveth the prize. So run that you may obtain.
Holding forth the word of life to my glory in the day of Christ: because I have not run in vain, nor laboured in vain.
If by any means I may attain to the resurrection which is from the dead.
Not as though I had already attained, or were already perfect: but I follow after, if I may by any means apprehend, wherein I am also apprehended by Christ Jesus.
Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended. But one thing I do: Forgetting the things that are behind and stretching forth myself to those that are before,
I press towards the mark, to the prize of the supernal vocation of God in Christ Jesus.
And therefore we also having so great a cloud of witnesses over our head, laying aside every weight and sin which surrounds us, let us run by patience to the fight proposed to us:
Looking on Jesus, the author and finisher of faith, who, having joy set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and now sitteth on the right hand of the throne of God.
