  1. O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, that have sinned.

  19. And when he is come, he will convince the world of sin and of justice and of judgment.

  21. Who, having known the justice of God, did not understand that they who do such things, are worthy of death: and not only they that do them, but they also that consent to them that do them.

  22. Because by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified before him. For by the law is the knowledge of sin.

  23. Wherefore as by one man sin entered into this world and by sin death: and so death passed upon all men, in whom all have sinned.

  24. God forbid! For we that are dead to sin, how shall we live any longer therein?

  25. Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin may be destroyed, to the end that we may serve sin no longer.
