  1. But Yeshua answered, "You people don't know what you are asking. Can you drink the cup that I am about to drink?" They said to him, "We can."

  2. Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh,

  3. and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age."

  4. Then he went up into the hill country and summoned to himself those he wanted, and they came to him.

  5. He appointed twelve to be with him, to be sent out to preach

  6. and to have authority to expel demons:

  7. Shim`on, to whom he gave another name, "Kefa";

  8. Ya`akov Ben-Zavdai and Yochanan, Ya`akov's brother -- to them he gave the name "B'nei-Regesh" (that is, "Thunderers");

  9. Andrew, Philip, Bar-Talmai, Mattityahu, T'oma, Ya`akov Ben-Halfai, Taddai, Shim`on the Zealot,

  10. and Y'hudah from K'riot, the one who betrayed him. Then he entered a house;

  11. Yeshua summoned the Twelve and started sending them out in pairs, giving them authority over the unclean spirits.

  12. He instructed them, "Take nothing for your trip except a walking stick -- no bread, no pack, no money in your belt.

  13. Wear shoes but not an extra shirt.

  14. Whenever you enter a house, stay there until you leave the place;

  15. and if the people of some place will not welcome you, and they refuse to hear you, then, as you leave, shake the dust off your feet as a warning to them."

  16. He got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. They were completely astounded,

  17. for they did not understand about the loaves; on the contrary, their hearts had been made stone-like.

  18. But, aware of this, he said, "Why are you talking with each other about having no bread? Don't you see or understand yet? Have your hearts been made like stone?

  19. You have eyes -- don't you see? You have ears -- don't you hear? And don't you remember?

  20. As they came down the mountain, he warned them not to tell anyone what they had seen until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

  21. So they kept the matter to themselves; but they continued asking each other, "What is this `rising from the dead'?"

  22. because he was teaching his talmidim. He told them, "The Son of Man will be betrayed into the hands of men who will put him to death; but after he has been killed, three days later he will rise."

  23. But they didn't understand what he meant, and they were afraid to ask him.

  24. People were bringing children to him so that he might touch them, but the talmidim rebuked those people.

  25. However, when Yeshua saw it, he became indignant and said to them, "Let the children come to me, don't stop them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
