  1. Wherefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new.

  2. But I am in a strait betwixt the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ; for it is very far better:

  3. I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

  4. who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things unto himself.

  5. giving thanks unto the Father, who made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;

  6. When Christ, who is our life, shall be manifested, then shall ye also with him be manifested in glory.

  7. knowing that from the Lord ye shall receive the recompense of the inheritance: ye serve the Lord Christ.

  8. then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

  9. if we endure, we shall also reign with him: if we shall deny him, he also will deny us:

  10. henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day; and not to me only, but also to all them that have loved his appearing.

  11. There remaineth therefore a sabbath rest for the people of God.

  12. And for this cause he is the mediator of a new covenant, that a death having taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they that have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

  13. For ye both had compassion on them that were in bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your possessions, knowing that ye have for yourselves a better possession and an abiding one.

  14. Cast not away therefore your boldness, which hath great recompense of reward.

  15. and without faith it is impossible to be well-pleasing unto him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seek after him.

  16. for he looked for the city which hath the foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

  17. But now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God; for he hath prepared for them a city.

  18. accounting the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt: for he looked unto the recompense of reward.

  19. looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

  20. Wherefore, receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace, whereby we may offer service well-pleasing to God with reverence and awe:

  21. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he hath been approved, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to them that love him.

  22. unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

  23. And when the chief Shepherd shall be manifested, ye shall receive the crown of glory that fadeth not away.

  24. Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is.

  25. And the witness is this, that God gave unto us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
