  1. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

  7. for he taught them asonehaving authority, and not as their scribes.

  8. And the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?

  9. But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority on earth to forgive sins (then saith he to the sick of the palsy), Arise, and take up thy bed, and go unto thy house.

  10. And he called unto him his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of disease and all manner of sickness.

  11. And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.

  12. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

  13. And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues;

  14. they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

  15. and they were astonished at his teaching; for his word was with authority.

  16. And it came to pass on one of those days, that he was teaching; and there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, who were come out of every village of Galilee and Judæa and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was with him to heal.

  17. And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject unto us in thy name.

  18. All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made.

  19. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him not.

  20. Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

  21. The Jews therefore said, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou raise it up in three days?

  22. But he spake of the temple of his body.

  23. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

  24. But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh even until now, and I work.

  25. For this cause therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only brake the sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
