  1. Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doeth, these the Son also doeth in like manner.

  2. For as the Father raiseth the dead and giveth them life, even so the Son also giveth life to whom he will.

  3. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour cometh, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear shall live.

  4. For as the Father hath life in himself, even so gave he to the Son also to have life in himself:

  5. Marvel not at this: for the hour cometh, in which all that are in the tombs shall hear his voice,

  6. and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment.

  7. No one taketh it away from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment received I from my Father.

  8. and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand.

  9. My Father, who hath given them unto me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.

  10. I and the Father are one.

  11. These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

  12. even as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that to all whom thou hast given him, he should give eternal life.

  13. Him did God exalt with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, to give repentance to Israel, and remission of sins.

  14. even Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

  15. in the name of our Lord Jesus, ye being gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus,

  16. Then cometh the end, when he shall deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power.

  17. And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

  18. which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places,

  19. far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

  20. and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church,

  21. who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things unto himself.

  22. I can do all things in him that strengtheneth me.

  23. for in him were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and unto him;

  24. and he is before all things, and in him all things consist.

  25. having despoiled the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
