  1. Then Jesus answered and said to them: Amen, amen, I say unto you, the Son cannot do any thing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doth, these the Son also doth in like manner.

  2. For as the Father raiseth up the dead and giveth life: so the Son also giveth life to whom he will.

  3. Amen, amen, I say unto you, that the hour cometh, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

  16. Afterwards the end: when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God and the Father: when he shall have brought to nought all principality and power and virtue.

  17. And he said to me: My grace is sufficient for thee: for power is made perfect in infirmity. Gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

  18. Which he wrought in Christ, raising him up from the dead and setting him on his right hand in the heavenly places.

  19. Above all principality and power and virtue and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.

  20. And he hath subjected all things under his feet and hath made him head over all the church,

  21. Who will reform the body of our lowness, made like to the body of his glory, according to the operation whereby also he is able to subdue all things unto himself.

  22. I can do all things in him who strengtheneth me.

  23. For in him were all things created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominations, or principalities, or powers. All things were created by him and in him.

  24. And he is before all: and by him all things consist.

  25. And despoiling the principalities and powers, he hath exposed them confidently in open shew, triumphing over them in himself.
