  1. For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.

  2. Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.

  3. For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

  4. “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. After those days,” says the Lord; “I will put my laws into their mind, I will also write them on their heart. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

  6. “This is the covenant that I will make with them: ‘After those days,’ says the Lord, ‘I will put my laws on their heart, I will also write them on their mind;’” then he says,

  7. “I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more.”

  8. let’s draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water,

  9. let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering; for he who promised is faithful.

  10. Of his own will he gave birth to us by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.

  11. Brothers, if any among you wanders from the truth and someone turns him back,

  12. let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

  13. according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, that you may obey Yeshua the Messiah and be sprinkled with his blood: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

  14. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, who according to his great mercy became our father again to a living hope through the resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah from the dead,

  15. Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently:

  16. having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.

  17. if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious:

  18. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

  19. seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue;

  20. by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.

  21. As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.

  22. If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.

  23. Whoever is born of God doesn’t commit sin, because his seed remains in him; and he can’t sin, because he is born of God.

  24. We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. He who doesn’t love his brother remains in death.

  25. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God.
