  1. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and those who do iniquity,

  2. and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

  3. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

  4. So will it be in the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked from among the righteous,

  6. But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who didn’t have on wedding clothing,

  7. and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.

  8. Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.’

  9. “Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went out to meet the bridegroom.

  10. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.

  11. Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them,

  12. but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

  13. Now while the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

  14. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!’

  15. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

  16. The foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’

  17. But the wise answered, saying, ‘What if there isn’t enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

  18. While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut.

  19. Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us.’

  20. But he answered, ‘Most certainly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

  21. Watch therefore, for you don’t know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

  22. “For it is like a man, going into another country, who called his own servants, and entrusted his goods to them.

  23. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one; to each according to his own ability. Then he went on his journey.

  24. Immediately he who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.

  25. In the same way, he also who got the two gained another two.
