  1. Then one of the twelve, who was called Judah Iscariot, went to the chief priests,

  2. and said, “What are you willing to give me, that I should deliver him to you?” They weighed out for him thirty pieces of silver.

  3. From that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

  4. Then he came to his disciples, and said to them, “Sleep on now, and take your rest. Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

  5. Arise, let’s be going. Behold, he who betrays me is at hand.”

  6. While he was still speaking, behold, Judah, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs, from the chief priest and elders of the people.

  7. Now he who betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, “Whoever I kiss, he is the one. Seize him.”

  8. Immediately he came to Yeshua, and said, “Hail, Rabbi!” and kissed him.

  9. Yeshua said to him, “Friend, why are you here?” Then they came and laid hands on Yeshua, and took him.

  10. Judah Iscariot, who was one of the twelve, went away to the chief priests, that he might deliver him to them.

  11. They, when they heard it, were glad, and promised to give him money. He sought how he might conveniently deliver him.

  12. Satan entered into Judah, who was also called Iscariot, who was numbered with the twelve.

  13. He went away, and talked with the chief priests and captains about how he might deliver him to them.

  14. They were glad, and agreed to give him money.

  15. He consented, and sought an opportunity to deliver him to them in the absence of the multitude.

  16. While he was still speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who was called Judah, one of the twelve, was leading them. He came near to Yeshua to kiss him.

  17. But Yeshua said to him, “Judah, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”
