  17. For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.

  18. The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.

  19. Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.

  20. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

  21. ¶ I have forsaken mine house, I have left mine heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies.

  22. The spoilers are come upon all high places through the wilderness: for the sword of the LORD shall devour from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh shall have peace.

  23. Why are thy valiant men swept away? they stood not, because the LORD did drive them.
