  1. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

  2. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

  3. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

  7. Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

  8. Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

  9. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

  10. Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

  11. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

  12. So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

  13. Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  14. Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

  15. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

  16. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

  17. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

  18. For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

  19. Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

  20. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

  21. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

  22. And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

  23. To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

  24. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

  25. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
