  1. And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

  10. And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

  11. And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

  12. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

  13. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

  14. But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

  15. If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.

  16. When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

  17. But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

  18. And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

  19. And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

  20. When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

  21. I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

  22. Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

  23. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

  24. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

  25. And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
