  1. I desired Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps?

  2. Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.

  3. And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.

  4. But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.

  5. ¶ Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

  8. ¶ For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

  9. But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

  10. To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

  11. And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

  12. ¶ O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

  13. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

  14. ¶ My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

  15. And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.

  16. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

  17. For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

  18. But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.

  19. What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

  20. According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

  21. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

  22. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

  23. Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

  24. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;

  25. ¶ Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
