  9. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

  10. And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.

  11. And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

  12. Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

  13. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

  14. And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.

  15. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

  16. He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

  17. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

  18. Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.

  19. And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

  20. He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

  21. And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,

  22. And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:

  23. And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;

  24. And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

  25. And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
