  1. Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

  10. ¶ Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

  11. Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

  12. Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

  13. ¶ Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:

  14. ¶ Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

  15. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

  16. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

  17. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

  18. ¶ Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

  19. ¶ I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

  20. ¶ With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

  21. ¶ Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

  22. That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

  23. ¶ Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

  24. Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

  25. ¶ But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:
