  1. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

  2. For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.

  3. And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

  13. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

  14. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

  15. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

  16. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

  17. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

  18. Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

  19. And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

  20. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

  21. ¶ Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

  22. And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

  23. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

  24. And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

  25. ¶ And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
