  1. As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

  2. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

  3. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

  10. ¶ And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

  11. ¶ We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

  12. Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

  13. Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

  14. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

  15. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

  16. Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

  17. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

  18. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

  19. For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

  20. ¶ But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

  21. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

  22. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

  23. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

  24. And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

  25. ¶ Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
