All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
¶ Having many things to write unto you, I would not [write] with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.

This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, [and] Greek, [and] Latin.
Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

¶ For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
¶ This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in [both] which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and [that] they had done these things unto him.
And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
¶ Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them].
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad.
And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.
And he saith unto them, Whose [is] this image and superscription?
And they brought [it]. And he saith unto them, Whose [is] this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's.
Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's.
For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
¶ And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.
