  1. He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.

  15. For I am ready for scourges: and my sorrow is continually before me.

  16. For I will declare my iniquity: and I will think for my sin.

  17. But my enemies live, and are stronger than I: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

  18. They that render evil for good, have detracted me, because I followed goodness.

  19. For sake me not, O Lord my God: do not thou depart from me.

  20. I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

  21. Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

  22. Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

  23. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

  24. For all the beasts of the woods are mine: the cattle on the hills, and the oxen.

  25. I know all the fowls of the air: and with me is the beauty of the field.
