  1. And some believed the things that were said: but some believed not.

  2. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and injustice of those men that detain the truth of God in injustice:

  11. But to Israel he saith: All the day long have I spread my hands to a people that believeth not and contradicteth me.

  12. What then? That which Israel sought, he hath not obtained: but the election hath obtained it. And the rest have been blinded.

  13. Well: because of unbelief they were broken off. But thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear.

  14. For as you also in times past did not believe God, but now have obtained mercy, through their unbelief:

  15. So these also now have not believed, for your mercy, that they also may obtain mercy.

  16. For God hath concluded all in unbelief, that he may have mercy on all.

  17. But he that discerneth, if he eat, is condemned; because not of faith. For all that is not of faith is sin.

  18. That I may be delivered from the unbelievers that are in Judea and that the oblation of my service may be acceptable in Jerusalem to the saints.

  19. For the word of the cross, to them indeed that perish, is foolishness: but to them that are saved, that is, to us, it is the power of God.

  20. For both the Jews require signs: and the Greeks seek after wisdom.

  21. But we preach Christ crucified: unto the Jews indeed a stumblingblock, and unto the Gentiles foolishness:

  22. But the sensual man perceiveth not these things that are of the Spirit of God. For it is foolishness to him: and he cannot understand, because it is spiritually examined.

  23. Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to believers but to unbelievers: but prophecies, not to unbelievers but to believers.

  24. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of unbelievers, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine unto them.

  25. Bear not the yoke with unbelievers. For what participation hath justice with injustice? Or what fellowship hath light with darkness?
