Which of you shall convince me of sin? If I say the truth to you, why do you not believe me:
He that is of God heareth the words of God. Therefore you hear them not, because you are not of God.
The Jews therefore said: Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets: and thou sayest: If any man keep my word, he shall not taste death for ever.
Art thou greater than our father Abraham who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Whom dost thou make thyself?
Jesus answered them: I speak to you, and you believe not: the works that I do in the name of my Father, they give testimony of me.
But you do not believe, because you are not of my sheep.
If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
But if I do, though you will not believe me, believe the works: that you may know and believe that the Father is in me and I in the Father.
And whereas he had done so many miracles before them, they believed not in him:
That the saying of Isaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he said: Lord, who hath believed our hearing? And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
Therefore they could not believe, because Isaias said again:
He hath blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart and be converted: and I should heal them.
And if any man hear my words and keep them not, I do not judge him for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
He that despiseth me and receiveth not my words hath one that judgeth him. The word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
The spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, nor knoweth him. But you shall know him; because he shall abide with you and shall be in you.
And when he is come, he will convince the world of sin and of justice and of judgment.
Of sin: because they believed not in me.
The other disciples therefore said to him: We have seen the Lord. But he said to them: Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails and put my finger into the place of the nails and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.
Then he said to Thomas: Put in thy finger hither and see my hands. And bring hither the hand and put it into my side. And be not faithless, but believing.
Beware, therefore, lest that come upon you which is spoken in the prophets:
Behold, ye despisers, and wonder and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which you will not believe, if any man shall tell it you.
But the unbelieving Jews stirred up and incensed the minds of the Gentiles against the brethren.
But the Jews, moved with envy and taking unto them some wicked men of the vulgar sort and making a tumult, set the city in an uproar: and besetting Jason's house, sought to bring them out unto the people.
But when some were hardened and believed not, speaking evil of the way of the Lord before the multitude, departing from them, he separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.
And saw him saying unto me: Make haste and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem: because they will not receive thy testimony concerning me.
