  12. What then? What Israel was seeking, it failed to obtain, but the elect did. The others were hardened,

  13. That is correct: They were broken off because of unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid.

  14. Just as you who formerly disobeyed God have now received mercy through their disobedience,

  15. so they too have now disobeyed, in order that they too may now receive mercy through the mercy shown to you.

  16. For God has consigned everyone to disobedience so that He may have mercy on everyone.

  17. But the one who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that is not from faith is sin.

  18. Pray that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judea, and that my service in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints there,

  19. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

  20. Jews demand signs and Greeks search for wisdom,

  21. but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,

  22. The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

  23. Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers, but for unbelievers. Prophecy, however, is for believers, not for unbelievers.

  24. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

  25. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?
