  1. Because the Lord your God he is the God of gods, and the Lord of lords, a great God and mighty and terrible, who accepteth no person nor taketh bribes.

  2. Let the fear of the Lord be with you, and do all things with diligence: for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor desire of gifts.

  9. And Peter opening his mouth, said: in very deed I perceive that God is not a respecter of persons.

  10. And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

  12. For whosoever have sinned without the law shall perish without the law: and whosoever have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law.

  13. For there is no distinction of the Jew and the Greek: for the same is Lord over all, rich unto all that call upon him.

  14. Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man shall do, the same shall he receive from the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

  15. And you, masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatenings: knowing that the Lord both of them and you is in heaven. And there is no respect of persons with him.

  16. For he that doth wrong shall receive for that which he hath done wrongfully. And there is no respect of persons with God.

  17. My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ of glory, with respect of persons.

  18. For if there shall come into your assembly a man having a golden ring, in fine apparel; and there shall come in also a poor man in mean attire:

  19. And you have respect to him that is clothed with the fine apparel and shall say to him: Sit thou here well: but say to the poor man: Stand thou there, or: Sit under my footstool:

  20. Do you not judge within yourselves, and are become judges of unjust thoughts?

  21. Hearken, my dearest brethren: Hath not God chosen the poor in this world, rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which God hath promised to them that love him?

  22. But you have dishonoured the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you by might? And do not they draw you before the judgment seats?

  23. Do not they blaspheme the good name that is invoked upon you?

  24. If then you fulfil the royal law, according to the scriptures: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself; you do well.

  25. But if you have respect to persons, you commit sin, being reproved by the law as transgressors.
