Then Ya'akov said to his household and all the others with him, "Get rid of the foreign gods that you have with you, purify yourselves, and put on fresh clothes.
so ADONAI said to Moshe, "Go to the people; today and tomorrow separate them for me by having them wash their clothing;
Moshe went down from the mountain to the people and separated the people for God, and they washed their clothing.
"Bring Aharon and his sons to the entrance of the tent of meeting, and wash them with water.
"You are to make a basin of bronze, with a base of bronze, for washing. Place it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it.
Aharon and his sons will wash their hands and feet there
when they enter the tent of meeting - they are to wash with water, so that they won't die. Also when they approach the altar to minister by burning an offering for ADONAI,
they are to wash their hands and feet, so that they won't die. This is to be a perpetual law for them through all their generations."

He set the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing,
so that Moshe and Aharon and his sons could wash their hands and feet there -
so that they could wash when entering the tent of meeting and when approaching the altar, as ADONAI had ordered Moshe.

He who is to be purified must wash his clothes, shave off all his hair and bathe himself in water. Then he will be clean; and after that, he may enter the camp; but he must live outside his tent for seven days.

"'When a person with a discharge has become free of it, he is to count seven days for his purification. Then he is to wash his clothes and bathe his body in running water; after that, he will be clean.
