Key Bible Verses
When that day comes, you will ask in my name. I am not telling you that I will pray to the Father on your behalf,
for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.
Then they prayed, “Lord, you know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen
to take over the work and the office of emissary that Y’hudah abandoned to go where he belongs.”
While they were still praying, the place where they were gathered was shaken. They were all filled with the Ruach HaKodesh, and they spoke God’s message with boldness.
I have clearly seen how My people are being oppressed in Egypt, I have heard their cry, and I have come down to rescue them, and now I will send you to Egypt.’
As they were stoning him, Stephen called out to God, “Lord Yeshua! Receive my spirit!”
The Lord said to him, “Get up and go to Straight Street, to Y’hudah’s house; and ask for a man from Tarsus named Sha’ul; for he is praying,
After fasting and praying, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.
When he had finished speaking, Sha’ul kneeled down with them all and prayed.
So now, what are you waiting for? Get up, immerse yourself and have your sins washed away as you call on his name.’
When he had said this, he took bread, said the b’rakhah to God in front of everyone, broke it and began to eat.
For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to bring you back again into fear; on the contrary, you received the Spirit, who makes us sons and by whose power we cry out, “Abba!” (that is, “Dear Father!”).
Similarly, the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we don’t know how to pray the way we should. But the Spirit himself pleads on our behalf with groanings too deep for words;
That means that there is no difference between Jew and Gentile — Adonai is the same for everyone, rich toward everyone who calls on him,
since everyone who calls on the name of Adonai will be delivered.
Rejoice in your hope, be patient in your troubles, and continue steadfastly in prayer.
He who observes a day as special does so to honor the Lord. Also he who eats anything, eats to honor the Lord, since he gives thanks to God; likewise the abstainer abstains to honor the Lord, and he too gives thanks to God.
If I participate with thankfulness, why am I criticized over something for which I myself bless God?”
Well, whatever you do, whether it’s eating or drinking or anything else, do it all so as to bring glory to God.
and after he had made the b’rakhah he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this as a memorial to me”;
So, what about it? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.
Three times I begged the Lord to take this thing away from me;
but he told me, “My grace is enough for you, for my power is brought to perfection in weakness.” Therefore, I am very happy to boast about my weaknesses, in order that the Messiah’s power will rest upon me.
But even if we — or, for that matter, an angel from heaven! — were to announce to you some so-called “Good News” contrary to the Good News we did announce to you, let him be under a curse forever!
