  1. `In that day, in my name ye will make request, and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father for you,

  2. for the Father himself doth love you, because me ye have loved, and ye have believed that I from God came forth;

  12. and having said these things, and having taken bread, he gave thanks to God before all, and having broken it , he began to eat;

  13. for ye did not receive a spirit of bondage again for fear, but ye did receive a spirit of adoption in which we cry, `Abba--Father.'

  14. And, in like manner also, the Spirit doth help our weaknesses; for, what we may pray for, as it behoveth us , we have not known, but the Spirit himself doth make intercession for us with groanings unutterable,

  15. for there is no difference between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord of all is rich to all those calling upon Him,

  16. for every one--whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, he shall be saved.'

  17. in the hope rejoicing; in the tribulation enduring; in the prayer persevering;

  18. He who is regarding the day, to the Lord he doth regard it , and he who is not regarding the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it . He who is eating, to the Lord he doth eat, for he doth give thanks to God; and he who is not eating, to the Lord he doth not eat, and doth give thanks to God.

  19. and if I thankfully do partake, why am I evil spoken of, for that for which I give thanks?

  20. Whether, then, ye eat, or drink, or do anything, do all to the glory of God;

  21. and having given thanks, he brake, and said, `Take ye, eat ye, this is my body, that for you is being broken; this do ye--to the remembrance of me.'

  22. What then is it? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray also with the understanding; I will sing psalms with the spirit, and I will sing psalms also with the understanding;

  23. Concerning this thing thrice the Lord did I call upon, that it might depart from me,

  24. and He said to me, `Sufficient for thee is My grace, for My power in infirmity is perfected;' most gladly, therefore, will I rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of the Christ may rest on me:

  25. but even if we or a messenger out of heaven may proclaim good news to you different from what we did proclaim to you--anathema let him be!
