  1. Among you are slanderous men bent on bloodshed; within you are those who eat on the mountain shrines and commit acts of indecency.

  19. Why not say, as some slanderously claim that we say, “Let us do evil that good may result”? Their condemnation is deserved!

  20. when we are slandered, we answer gently. Up to this moment we have become the scum of the earth, the refuse of the world.

  21. nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

  23. For I am afraid that when I come, I may not find you as I wish, and you may not find me as you wish. I fear that there may be quarreling, jealousy, rage, rivalry, slander, gossip, arrogance, and disorder.

  24. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, outcry and slander, along with every form of malice.

  25. In the same way, the women must be dignified, not slanderers, but temperate and faithful in all things.
