  1. Watch therefore: for ye know not when the lord of the house cometh, whether at even, or at midnight, or at cockcrowing, or in the morning;

  22. And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not make trial of the Lord thy God.

  23. And when the devil had completed every temptation, he departed from him for a season.

  24. And those on the rock are they who, when they have heard, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

  25. And that which fell among the thorns, these are they that have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
