  17. and the doors shall be shut in the street; when the sound of the grinding is low, and one shall rise up at the voice of a bird, and all the daughters of music shall be brought low;

  18. yea, they shall be afraid of that which is high, and terrors shall be in the way; and the almond-tree shall blossom, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail; because man goeth to his everlasting home, and the mourners go about the streets:

  19. before the silver cord is loosed, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher is broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern,

  20. and the dust returneth to the earth as it was, and the spirit returneth unto God who gave it.

  21. The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

  22. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing; the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon: they shall see the glory of Jehovah, the excellency of our God.

  23. Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

  24. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; he will come and save you.

  25. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
