  1. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

  2. yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest she wear me out by her continual coming.

  9. saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

  10. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became as it were great drops of blood falling down upon the ground.

  11. And he said, Jesus, remember me when thou comest in thy kingdom.

  12. And he said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in Paradise.

  13. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

  14. Ye worship that which ye know not: we worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.

  15. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth: for such doth the Father seek to be his worshippers.

  16. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

  17. Jesus therefore took the loaves; and having given thanks, he distributed to them that were set down; likewise also of the fishes as much as they would.

  18. (howbeit there came boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks):

  19. We know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and do his will, him he heareth.

  20. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

  21. If ye shall ask anything in my name, that will I do.

  22. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

  23. Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

  24. And in that day ye shall ask me no question. Verily, verily, I say unto you, If ye shall ask anything of the Father, he will give it you in my name.

  25. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be made full.
