  1. In that day shalt thou not be put to shame for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me; for then I will take away out of the midst of thee thy proudly exulting ones, and thou shalt no more be haughty in my holy mountain.

  2. But I will leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall take refuge in the name of Jehovah.

  11. And when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

  12. And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, even these least, ye did it unto me.

  13. And they came to Capernaum: and when he was in the house he asked them, What were ye reasoning on the way?

  14. But they held their peace: for they had disputed one with another on the way, who was the greatest.

  15. And he sat down, and called the twelve; and he saith unto them, If any man would be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.

  16. And he took a little child, and set him in the midst of them: and taking him in his arms, he said unto them,

  17. Whosoever shall receive one of such little children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever receiveth me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

  18. But it is not so among you: but whosoever would become great among you, shall be your minister;

  19. and whosoever would be first among you, shall be servant of all.

  20. And Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself; for I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof:

  21. wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say the word, and my servant shall be healed.

  22. And there arose a reasoning among them, which of them was the greatest.

  23. But when Jesus saw the reasoning of their heart, he took a little child, and set him by his side,

  24. and said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this little child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same is great.

  25. But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest place; that when he that hath bidden thee cometh, he may say to thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have glory in the presence of all that sit at meat with thee.
