  1. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

  2. But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord tarrieth;

  3. and shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and shall eat and drink with the drunken;

  13. And he spake this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking fruit thereon, and found none.

  14. And he said unto the vinedresser, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why doth it also cumber the ground?

  15. And he answering saith unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

  16. and if it bear fruit thenceforth, well; but if not, thou shalt cut it down.

  17. What man of you, having a hundred sheep, and having lost one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

  18. And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

  19. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and his neighbors, saying unto them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.

  20. I say unto you, that even so there shall be joy in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine righteous persons, who need no repentance.

  21. And he said, A certain man had two sons:

  22. and the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion ofthy substance that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

  23. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together and took his journey into a far country; and there he wasted his substance with riotous living.

  24. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that country; and he began to be in want.

  25. And he went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
