  14. For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and I partly believe it.

  15. For there must be also factions among you, that they that are approved may be made manifest among you.

  16. For I fear, lest by any means, when I come, I should find you not such as I would, and should myself be found of you such as ye would not; lest by any means there should be strife, jealousy, wraths, factions, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults;

  17. lest again when I come my God should humble me before you, and I should mourn for many of them that have sinned heretofore, and repented not of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they committed.

  18. and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church,

  19. which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

  20. being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief corner stone;

  21. in whom each several building, fitly framed together, groweth into a holy temple in the Lord;

  22. in whom ye also are builded together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

  23. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, being himself the saviour of the body.

  24. But as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their husbands in everything.

  25. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it;
